Micro Learning Module: Basic First Aid + CPR(HO) + AED *Collaboration with SUSS
By the end of the course, learners will have the relevant knowledge and application skills in Basic First Aid + AED to apply during an emergency or accident.
1. Perform First Aid treatment for common medical emergencies at workplaces or at home.
2. Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) effectively on adult unconscious casualties
3. Perform the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) effectively on adult unconscious casualties
4. Check and pack contents of First Aid Kit
2 hours: Basic First Aid THEORY ONLINE

Session 5: Burns
Session 6: Bleeding
Session 7: Sprains
Session 8: Fractures and Dislocations
Session 9: Breathing Emergencies
Session 10: Stroke
1 hour: CPR(HO)+AED THEORY ONLINE
Session 1: Cardiac Arrest and You
Session 2: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Session 3: Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
P1. We highly recommend individuals to have attained at least secondary two education or level 5 of ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy.
P2. Must be physically fit and able to render help to another individual during an emergency.
P3. Register to receive an email from SUSS to download GNOWBE App in order to access.
P4. There will be a 2 months grace period to access GNOWBE App - Basic First Aid + CPR(HO) + AED.
A1. Learners would need to fulfil 100% course attendance in order to be eligible for the assessments.
A2. Assessment Outline:
(i) 10 Graded Multiple Choice Questions each module; Total 20 Questions Attempted in the Micro-Learning after completion of 10 sessions for BFA and 3 sessions for CPR(HO) + AED respectively.
(ii) Practical Assessment for BFA + AED (Up to 3 attempts to pass) - Conducted at SRCA premises
C1. Upon completion of BFA 10 sessions and CPR+AED 3 sessions in the micro-learning module, an e-Certificate of each module will be issued by SUSS.
C1. Basic First Aid + CPR(HO) + AED is accredited by the Singapore Red Cross Academy.
C2. A credit card-sized certificate with 2 years validity will be issued if registered and upon successful completion by attaining Competent for the 5 hours Practical Session.
