Psychological First Aid Course
By the end of the course, learners will gain a basic understanding in identifying signs of distress and applying Psychological First Aid skills to support an affected person.
Module 1: What is PFA , What it is not & Crisis situations.
Module 2: Common Reactions to distress.
Module 3: Applying Psychological First Aid
Module 4: Importance of mental wellness and self-care when helping others.
Module 5: Role play and case scenarios of providing PFA to a child and caregiver in distress.

A1. There are no assessments for this course.
A2. This is a highly-participatory course, which involves a series of role plays, demonstrations and group activities. Learners are encouraged to participate in all the classroom activities in order to fully maximise the learning opportunities available.
C1. This course is endorsed by the Danish Red Cross with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Reference Centre for Psychosocial Support.
C2. Learners would need to fulfil 100% course attendance in order to be eligible for the issue of an E-certificate.
