Advanced Psychological First Aid (APFA-MOM-CPD)
By the end of the course, learners will have the relevant knowledge and application skills in PFA to provide much-needed comfort to others in times of distress.
1. Recognise reactions required for referral.
2. Develop an increased sense of self-awareness.
3. Adopt constructive self-care strategies.
4. Demonstrate psychological first aid for affected persons and persons who are grieving.

1 Facilitator : 8 Learners (up to 3 Facilitators per class)
P1. Recommended age: From 18 years old
P2. We highly recommend individuals to have attained at least secondary two education or level 5 of ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy.
P3. Are prepared to be trained and assessed by the end of the course.
P4. Learners must have successfully attended Psychological First Aid Course by Singapore Red Cross Academy in order to attend Advanced Psychological First Aid Course.
A1. Assessments are conducted on Day 2 of course.
A2. This is a highly-participatory course, which involves a series of role plays, demonstrations and group activities. Learners are encouraged to participate in all the classroom activities in order to fully maximise the learning opportunities available.
C1. This course is endorsed by the Danish Red Cross with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Reference Centre for Psychosocial Support.
C2. A credit card-sized certificate with 2 years validity will be issued upon successful completion by attaining Competent.
C3. This course is accredited by Ministry of Manpower CPD/264/A1B/024 with 16 SDU Points Awarded.
