Psychological First Aid (PFA-MOM-CPD)
By the end of the course, learners will have the relevant knowledge and application skills in PFA to recognise the signs of stress and provide much-needed comfort to others in times of distress.
1. Learn the basics of providing psychological first aid to affected persons in times of crises and emergencies
2. Gain basic competencies in recognising signs of distress in order to be able to establish a human connection in a non-intrusive and compassionate manner

Module 2: Introduction to Psychosocial Support
Module 3: Introduction to Psychological First Aid and Supportive Communications
1 Facilitator : 10 Learners (up to 2 Facilitators per class)
P1. Recommended age: From 16 years old
P2. We highly recommend individuals to have attained at least secondary two education or level 5 of ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy.
P3. Are prepared to be trained and be an active learner in the course.
A1. There are no assessments for this course.
A2. This is a highly-participatory course, which involves a series of role plays, demonstrations and group activities. Learners are encouraged to participate in all the classroom activities in order to fully maximise the learning opportunities available.
C1. This course is accredited by Ministry of Manpower CPD/264/A1B/023 with 7 SDU Points Awarded.
C2. This course is endorsed by the Danish Red Cross with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Reference Centre for Psychosocial Support.
C3. Learners would need to fulfil 100% course attendance in order to be eligible for the issue of an A4 certificate stating Certificate of Participation.
